Upcoming Seminars

Martin Heidegger: The Question Concerning Technology and Other Essays

Saturdays starting May 4th (05/04/2024 from 12-2pm CST)

In this course we will be looking at a series of essays which will serve as a general overview of Martin Heidegger's understandings of the history of western philosophy and phenomenological ontology. We will examine the metaphysical significance of technology, the centrality of Nietzsche's thought within the history of philosophy, Heidegger's notions of Enframing, Standing-Reserve, Being, Nothingness, and more.

Arthur M. Young: The Reflexive Universe; Evolution of Consciousness

Saturdays starting May 4th (05/04/2024 from 5-7pm CST)

In this course we will be working our way through the cosmogonic framework developed by engineer, inventor and process-metaphysician, Arthur M. Young. Within The Reflexive Universe, Young develops a 7-fold model of cosmic, organic and noetic evolution within which the geometry of the Toroid is seen to be a fundamental archetype. We will also be bringing Young's ideas into dialogue with other process thinkers such as Alfred North Whitehead, Rudolf Steiner and Teilhard De Chardin.

Pierre Teilhard De Chardin: The Phenomenon of Man

Sundays starting May 5th (05/05/2024 @ 12-2pm CST)

In this course we will be looking at the theory of cosmic teleology developed by the French Jesuit and Paleoanthropologist, Teilhard De Chardin, whose Phenomenon of Man introduces several concepts which have proven to be immensely consequential within the realm of process-philosophy and Noetic sciences; The Noosphere, radial causality and of course the cosmogonic Omega Point which was later popularized by American Ethnobotanist Terence McKenna.

Rudolf Steiner: The Philosophy of Freedom; The Basis for a Modern World-Conception

Sundays starting May 5th (05/05/2024 @ 5-7pm CST)

In this course we will be looking at the most foundational text within Rudolf Steiner's extensive corpus of writings - The philosophy of Freedom - in which Steiner develops the basic epistemological, metaphysical and ontological notions which serve as the groundwork for Steiner's philosophical system of Anthroposophy; otherwise known as Esoteric Science. Here we will see how Steiner elaborates and interconnects philosophical advances produced by Johann Von Goethe, Friedrich Schelling, Georg Hegel and others, so as to develop a conceptual scheme which he saw as absolutely crucial for the future evolution of human awareness.

Ongoing Seminars

Alfred North Whitehead: Process and Reality

Saturdays starting March 2nd (03/02/2024 - 5pm CST)

In this course we will be covering Process and Reality - a work of truly heroic philosophical imagination, insight and rigor created by the British/American Mathematician, Logician, Philosopher of Science and Metaphysician, Alfred North Whitehead. Within Process and Reality, Whitehead attempts to synthesize the radically evolutionary world revealed by modern science with the metaphysical triumphs of the western philosophical and theological traditions.

Jean Gebser: The Ever Present Origin

Sundays starting March 3rd (03/03/2024 - 5pm CST)

In this course we will be covering The Ever Present Origin, written by the Swiss Linguist, Philosopher and Poet, Jean Gebser. The Ever Present Origin is a work which will take us through the worlds of Archaeology, Anthropology, Art History, Comparative Mythology and more, revealing the manner by which human consciousness has transformed over time, and bringing into focus the future which has given shape to our historical trajectory.
